The 24-year-old player had the highest individual efficiency of the day with 29, after scoring 29 points, dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds and two steals, in the Puerto Rican 75-72 win over Brazil.
He scored eight consecutive points to close the game, and hit three 3-pointers.
The Dominican Republic’s front court was key in their 70-61 win against Panama. Center Ángel Delgado carried the offensive responsibility with a 18 points and 11 rebounds double-double, he also added a block to the stat sheet which landed him a 28 in efficiency.
Point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander helped Canada remain undefeated after beating Argentina 99-87. The NBA star finished with a 25 in efficiency by going 8-19 from the field, and adding three 3-pointers. In total he had 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
In just 19 minutes, John Jenkins racked up a 25% in efficiency. The USA forward netted 22 points, including six three-pointers, to lead his team to dominate Uruguay 105-71. He only missed one out of nine shots from the field, and had three assists.
Colombia pulled off an incredible 93-89 overtime victory as a visitor in Mexico, after being down 20 points in the third quarter. Power forward André Ibargüen was the protagonist with 17 points and nine rebounds. He went 7-8 from the field and his efficiency was 25.
