Tickets for first window of World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers go on sale

BENGUELA (Angola) - Tickets for the first window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers that will take place in the Angolan city of Benguela will be available on Wednesday, the country's Basketball Federation (FAB ) confirmed.
The event marks the start of the race for the five tickets on offer for African countries for the World Cup that will be hosted in Indonesia, Japan and Philippines.
According to FAB, tickets for the three-day event running from November 26-28 will be available at the Box Office of the Pavilhao Acacias Rubras, where the games will take place, and tickets will be priced at AOA 500 Kwanzas (roughly $1) per game.
FAB explained that social distance and COVID-19 restrictions will be in place for fans to be allowed inside the Pavilhao Acacias Rubras.
Twelve games are expected to take place in he first window of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 African Qualifiers in Benguela with a mouth-watering Cape Verde vs Nigeria opening the African Qualifiers at 10:00 am (GMT+1) on Friday.
Three hours later, Uganda will take on Mali, before Angola go up against Cote d'Ivoire at 16:00 (GMT+1). The last game of the day will see Guinea face Central African Republic (19:00 GMT+1).
The 2000-capacity Pavilhao Acacias Rubras Benguela last hosted a major basketball tournament when Angola hosted the FIBA AfroBasket 2007 across five cities (Cabinda, Benguela, Huambo, Luanda and Lubango).
