    China outclass Hong Kong for first win in front of 13,000 fans

    NANJING (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - China faced little trouble in a dominant 96-44 win over fellow East Asia team Hong Kong in front of 13,000 spectators.

    National team veterans Mugedaer Xirelijiang and and Wang Zhelin spearheaded China's charge at the Gymnasium of Youth Olympic Games Sport Park, with the former scoring 17 points and the latter finishing with an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double. As for Hong Kong, Liang Man Hung and Duncan Reid combined for 25 points.

    China built a commanding 32-16 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

    Up next for China are the Koreans, whom they will play at the Goyang Gymnasium. Hong Kong, meanwhile, host New Zealand at the Southorn Stadium on 26 November 2017.
