BANGUI (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers) - The Central African Republic (CAF) selected 14 home-based players to start their preparations for next month's FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers in Maputo, Mozambique.
The first day of training camp, according to CAF Basketball Federation, was due to open on Monday in the capital Bangui.
While the likes of Max Kouguere, William Kossangue and Jimmy Djimrabaye - CAF's most influential trio who ply their trades in France - are expected to join the preparations in mid-February in Sousse, Tunisia, head coach Ulrich Marida has called up a group of players led by Kenzo Kamayengue, Rodrigue Stephane Bereke, Francky Mbombo and Morel Lenguewane.
