Motum happy with Boomers' depth showing up

BARCELONA (FIBA Basketball World Cup) - Turkey have been the only team to really show a semblance of any fight matching up against the defending champions USA at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup so far. That marks the 2010 FIBA World Championship hosts as a team to watch out for.

And that's not lost on Australia, Turkey's opponents in the Round of 16.

"It will be a touch match-up," said Brock Motum.

"They (Turkey) played the USA tough. They also had a tough game against New Zealand. They are coming together.

"In terms of team preparation as well as the game preparations, we are well on road," said the Granarolo Bologna player.

We are right where we want to be. - Motum

The 23-year-old was also pleased with the way the team was coming around together.

"I think it's a testament to the depth of the team. We can start almost with any player in the starting line-up and do what we need to. And then the bench comes in and contributes what it has to. I think we are ready for a tough game tomorrow."

Australia will aim to return to the Quarter-Finals stage of FIBA's flagship event for the first time since 1994.
