When he was in a stage of his training, Pérez said: “These camps serve me since I am a learning stage. They are definitely helpful. In my case, I could improve things about my basketball. Also, to learn from my classmates and teachers. No doubt the level is improved, we can hear from professionals what we need to improve. Everything adds up in this moment of my career. ”
For Felipe Inyaco, a male U-17 player, it is also vital to add every piece of advice, every detail that could be provided by the coaches and technicians who participated in the camp.
“The camp itself did not have things very far from the usual that one is in Chile. But, having many coaches of the best quality, I think that from each one he took some advice or point of view that always adds up. Competing with the best in America and being with that quality of coaches is something that motivates me a lot to continue working, ”he analyzed at FEBA.
“Being able to be elected to represent Chile in the event filled me with pride. It is an experience that left me very happy personally. It definitely motivates me to continue working hard to continue measuring myself with the best in the continent, ”added Inyaco, one of the 2002-2003 players who also work to represent Chile in the South American U-17.
They had the opportunity for players and coaches to transmit their knowledge and experiences through various activities such as movement efficiency, skill development, 5 vs 5 games and daily seminars on life skills focused on health, leadership, and communication.
In addition, Felipe Inyaco and also Benjamín Herrera, another member of the national male U-17 category of Chile, were part of the Latin players who were selected to participate in the III Edition of the NBA Academy Games. The talent tournament was held from July 11 to 14, at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex, training complex of the Atlanta Hawks, and in which the Chilean country also had the opportunity to say present, through its two representatives, in another of the great moments that had the selections during 2019.
“I am very happy to be able to play with the best players from several countries, to know these tremendous facilities and to play against a very good friend of mine such as Pipe (Felipe),” said Herrera on FEBA.
