MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League and Estonian tech company Scorestars have agreed to extend into the 2024-25 season their innovative partnership, after its enormously successful introduction last year.
The 2024-25 BCL Fantasy game is available to play on the brand-new Scorestars mobile app, where users will be able to earn rewards and enhance their experience of the new Basketball Champions League season. The new app brings a lot of improvements and new features: All players are available to every user, there’s more tactical gameplay, daily manager missions. There is also a new in-app currency called basketballs, the possibility to improve your team's players, collect daily rewards, and progress in divisions throughout the season.
In the first iteration of BCL Fantasy, in 2023-24, fans were able to collect their favorite players and play the official fantasy league on the Scorestars online platform. The best virtual managers were awarded VIP all-inclusive packages to the Final Four in Belgrade as well as to the FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Singapore. Today, there are over 28,000 European basketball fans on Scorestars, which just released its dedicated Android and iOS mobile apps. "Our collaboration with Scorestars has provided an interactive experience that bridges the gap between BCL players and BCL fans, especially younger fans, who look to engage with their favorite sport also in the digital realm. The Basketball Champions League has been at the forefront of digital innovation from day one and our fantasy game is another great step in that direction," commented BCL CEO Patrick Comninos.
