BAKU (Azerbaijan) - Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, will host the FIBA 3x3 World Cup Qualifier 2025 on May 24-25.
Six men's and six women's teams will compete for the last three tickets to the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on June 23-29.
The participating teams will be the host (Azerbaijan), the best teams from each Zone Cup that has not qualified yet to World Cup (as host, Olympic winner, Zone Cup winner or ranking) and the best ranked team that has not qualified to the World Cup.
The two-day event held in Baku will showcase the growing popularity of 3x3 in Azerbaijan - a relatively new country of 10 million people that is quickly becoming a success story in the one-hoop game.
Azerbaijan has hosted major events in 3x3, notably on the Women's Series, and started to make a splash on the half-court.
After spectacularly qualifying for the Paris Olympics in the Hong Kong qualifier, Azerbaijan women's team impressed on the big stage and stunned defending gold medalist USA in an incredible upset.

The two-day World Cup qualifier is set to further increase the popularity of 3x3 in Azerbaijan ahead of the biggest event in 2025.

Mongolia, a 3x3 passionate nation, will host its first ever World Cup having staged many international events over the years along with World Tour and Women's Series stops.
