Gilas convincingly won both games by an average of 41.5 points per game, their 53-point win against Chinese Taipei being the largest margin of victory for the Philippines over this specific opponent in an Asia Cup or World Cup Qualifier.

Brownlee's performance was spectacular in this first window of the Qualifiers, specifically in the latest win. The 2.00M (6'7") forward scored 26 points on 11-18 shooting to go with 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal towards recording an EFF rating of 40.
