    Asia Cup Trophy Appearance set for Syria, Lebanon in Window 1

    The FIBA Asia Cup trophy, the prestigious prize of the region's flagship basketball competition, will be put on display at multiple games across the Asia Cup 2025 Qualifying windows.

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Asia Cup trophy, the prestigious prize of the region's flagship basketball competition, will be put on display at multiple games across the Asia Cup 2025 Qualifying windows.

    The Asia Cup trophy will be making its first appearance in the first window of the Qualifiers from February 22–26. It will also be making subsequent appearances in two games each in Window 2 from November 21–25 and Window 3 from February 20–23, 2025.

    The first appearance will be during the West Asian rivalry clash between Syria and Lebanon at the Al Fayhaa Stadium in Damascus, Syria, on February 23. The basketball fans in Syria have always been passionate about showing their support, as evident from the record-setting attendance numbers throughout FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) games.

    Now, they will be able to cheer their hearts out for their team while also being able to witness the trophy that will eventually be lifted by the winners of the Asia Cup.

    Lebanon were close to being the team to lift the Asia Cup in 2022, and that is where the Asia Cup trophy will be headed to make an appearance on February 26. This will be during the game between Lebanon and Bahrain, and the game will be played at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Zouk Mikael.

    The Continental Qualifiers will be played from February 2024 to February 2025, with 24 national teams competing for spots at the Asia Cup. The first window will tip-off with teams beginning their journeys toward the ultimate goal of lifting the Asia Cup trophy when it is all said and done.
