Jordan will be frustrated with multiple missed opportunities, including a backcourt violation called on Abdeen with 14 seconds left, and a turnover on the final possession leading to a wide open lay up on the fast break for Roger Pogoy.
Terrence Romeo and Matthew Wright led the scoring for the Philippines, with 13 points-a-piece, whilst Mousa Alawadi had a game-high 21 to lead Jordan.
It was initially Jordan who fought back; Philippines used a 5-0 run to take control at the halftime break and lead the majority of the second half, until an 11-0 fourth quarter run from Jordan.
Mousa Al Awadi tied it up at 65 with 2:50 remaining, before a big three from Ahmad Alhamarsheh saw Jordan take the lead 68-65 and then an Alawadi runner gave them a five point cushion to set up the dramatic finish.
