Lin Chih Chieh set for debut with Fubon Braves at FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019
BANGKOK (Thailand) - Fubon Braves' final roster for FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019 includes Chinese Taipei legend Lin Chih Chieh who will be making his debut with his new team.
BANGKOK (Thailand) - The Fubon Braves had already proved at the East Asia Qualifiers of the Road to Final 8 that they meant business. Now at the Final 8 stage with a claim for being the best club in Asia on the line at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the Braves have added on some “beastly” names to their final roster to make sure they can go as far through the competition as possible.

The most notable of additions and the marquee man for the Braves is none other than the Chinese Taipei legend himself, Lin Chih Chieh. After a decade of excellent play in the CBA with Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, the “Beast” Lin has finally decided to return and play for his home country. The FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019 will be Lin Chih Chieh’s debut with the Fubon Braves as they look to continue making history in the franchise’s Asia Champions Cup debut.
Another reinforcement is Canadian big man, Sim Bhullar, who had already played in the 2016 edition of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup. Playing for the Dacin Tigers that year, Bhullar averaged 12.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
The Braves went through the East Asia Qualifiers undefeated which should give them confidence heading into the tourney in Thailand. 7 players are returning from the Qualifiers as well as Charles Garcia who averaged 11.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
