BANGKOK, Thailand (FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016)- Indonesia and Malaysia are still undefeated after three days of action at FIBA Asia U18 Championship for Women 2016, while Singapore recorded their first win after beating Sri Lanka 50-40 on Tuesday.
Lea Wolobulu scored 19 points and collected 11 rebounds as Indonesia eased past Kazakhstan 65-46 in Level II Day 3 opener. The South East Asians are now 3-0 at the top of the standings in Level II, while things are getting worse for the Kazakhs who are yet to win a single game.
Jovita Elizabeth also had a fine game for Arif Gunatro's team with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Luiza Zukova was Kazakhstan's top score with 10 points.
Malaysia for their part got past previously unbeaten Hong Kong 65-40. Ho Ching Yee scored 13 points to lead four players in double figures while Khoo Kar Syuen added another 12 with 8 rebounds. Hong Kong, who are now 1-2, wasted 11 points from Lau Sheungh Hok, who was the team's only player scoring in double digits.
The final Level II game of the day saw Singapore collect their first win as they beat Sri Lanka 50-40 with Tiana Ng scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists and Nabila Aflian adding 12 points in the victory to improve to 1-2. Sri Lanka dropped to 0-3 despite 19 points from Arachchige Samarasinghe.
