Elite Asian continental action is returning to India for the second straight year, after the 2017 FIBA Women's Asia Cup and the 2017 FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship, both of which were also held in Bengaluru, India from 28 October to 3 November.

Fans will be able to follow select games live on FIBA's Facebook (Facebook.com/FIBA) page and Youtube (Youtube.com/FIBA) channel.
There will be sixteen (16) participating teams split into two divisions, A and B. This edition will mark the first time in history that Oceania teams will be competing alongside Asian countries at the U18 level.
Australia (WR-7), China (WR-9) and Japan (WR-11) are the three highest ranked teams in the fray, while hosts India (WR-37) will be fighting to return to Division A.
The top four teams from Division A will qualify for the FIBA U19 Basketball Women's Basketball World Cup 2019, to be held in Bangkok.
