BUENOS AIRES (FIBA World Championship) - Juan Pablo Figueroa is out of the FIBA World Championship after damaging ligaments in his shoulder during Argentina's Super 4 victory over Puerto Rico.

Figueroa has now left the team's training camp in Salta to return to Buenos Aires for further tests.

The injury will be a huge disappointment to Figueroa given that he also had to miss the FIBA Americas Championship last year due to injury.

The injury is the second suffered by Argentina during their preparations for the FIBA World Championship, but the other victim, Andres Nocioni, is expected to recover from his sprained ankle in time to play in Turkey.
