Guinea will look to qualify for this year's FIBA AfroBasket Final Round taking place in Congo-Brazzaville from August 19-30. In order to achieve this, they need to succeed in this month's regional qualifier against Mali, Cape Verde and Senegal.
The first leg of the qualifier will be played in the Malian capital of Bamako on 19 March with the return game to follow in Dakar a week later.
This is Guinea's second consecutive attempt to qualify for FIBA AfroBasket. They saw their chances of qualifying for the 2015 edition of the continental championship evaporate after losing a two-game series to Cape Verde.
