The 33-year old led from the back court on both offense and defense at crucial moments in the game to hand the hosts a huge boost in a highly contested game in the first three quarters and ultimately a place at the big stage on Sunday.

Captain Ingvild Macauro led by example with 16 points, five steals and five rebounds while Carmen Virginia Tyson-Thompson on a very big night for her dropped 16 points and picked five rebounds.

"IT WAS A VERY TOUGH GAME AND WE HAD TO STAY FOCUSED. WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULT AND NOW WE HAVE A CHANCE TO FIGHT FOR THE TROPHY." - Cossa

Macauro admitted that indeed it was a very tough game and they had to keep fighting and it counted that they played solid defense that helped them a lot.

She explained that,"We knew it was going to be tough because these are the players that we supported during the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup so we knew how good they are but this year Ferroviario does not give up easily and we fight till the end and today we emerged victorious."
