    ALEXANDRIA (Egypt) - The final 12-player rosters for the inaugural Africa Women's Basketball League (AWBL) were validated by FIBA Africa on Sunday in Alexandria as ten teams prepare to do battle to lift the first-ever AWBL trophy.

    The newly-launched AWBL will run between Monday, 11 December until Tuesday, 19 December in the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria.

    The final rosters were confirmed after a FIBA Africa Technical Meeting that gathered all participating teams and the competition's management.

    Group A: ALEXANDRIA SPORTING CLUB, CNSS, NIGERIA CUSTOMSKENYA PORTS AUTHORITY, UNIVERSITE DE DOUALA

    Overdose Up Station

    COMPETITION SYSTEM - The teams that finish in the first four places of Groups A and B, will qualify to the Quarter-Finals whereas the teams that finish last in their groups will complete for the best positioning in the Classification Round.
