PHOENIX(FIBA U16 African Championship 2017) - Tunisia secured ticket for the Semi-Final at the FIBA U16 African Championship 2017, after their convincing 99-24 win against hosts Mauritius on Tuesday night.

Aware that a win in this game will help them punch a ticket for the semis, the North Africans took a confortable 43-7 lead at Half-Time.

Mauritius tried to apply pressure on the defensive block, but their offensive technique have yet to be fine-tuned as they missed more than 50 % of their attacks.

In the second period, things were much the same, as Tunisia proved too much for the islanders in all aspects.

With a 4-1 record, Tunisia will square off Mali on Thursday targeting the top position in Group A. But this will not be an easy task, regarding what Siriman Kanoute and teammates have shown in their previous games.

Earlier in the day, Mali blew out Mozambique 103-40 to extend their unbeaten run to 5-0.

In today's Group B games, Egypt who are already through to the semis sealed their fifth win in a row thanks to an 82-42 win over Rwanda.

The lone remaining spot for the semis will be decided between Algeria (2-3), Madagascar(2-3) and Rwanda(1-4) after the last games of the Group phase on Thursday.

In a pugnacious display of willpower, Sitraka Raharimantoanina and teammates came back from behind in the last quarter, and took a 78-71 win Algeria to keep their Semi-Finals ambitions alive.

To achieve their dream of reaching the Final Four, Madagascar will need to knock off reigning champions Egypt.
