2016 WT Final Abu Dhabi

Where does Hercegovac’s Abu Dhabi Final 50-point explosion rank all time?

ABU DHABI (FIBA 3x3 World Tour) – Ljubljana (SLO) sharpshooter Jasmin Hercegovac scored a season-high 50 points at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi but was it the best mark ever?

ABU DHABI (FIBA 3x3 World Tour) – Ljubljana (SLO) sharpshooter Jasmin Hercegovac scored a season-high 50 points in just 5 games at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final in Abu Dhabi on 27-28 October 2016. But it wasn’t the best offensive performance ever. We checked out our archive and identified three other players who reached the 50-point mark before.

Hercegovac was the first player to score 50 points at a World Tour event this season. Until Abu Dhabi, the number one 3x3 player in the world Dusan Domovic Bulut held the top mark with 47 points at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Debrecen Masters on 7-8 September. The irony of it all? Bulut defeated Hercegovac in the final at that event.

The Iceman’s 50 points were the best individual performance in 14 months. On 28-29 August, Michael Hicks (Gdansk, POL) set a new scoring record at the Lausanne Masters with 53 points… in just 4 games. This included a 17-point outburst in a game against Utrecht (NED).

The all-time scoring records at the World Tour*:

    1. Michael Hicks (Gdansk, POL) 53 pts (2015 Lausanne Masters)

    2. Chris Reaves (Wukesong, CHN) 51 pts (2014 Beijing Masters)

    3. Diguinho (São Paulo, BRA) 50 pts (2014 Rio de Janeiro Masters)

    4. Jasmin Hercegovac (Ljubljana, SLO) 50 pts (2016 Abu Dhabi Final)

*Does not include the 2012 and 2013 seasons where World Tour teams could play more than 5 games in a single event
