ATHENS (Greece) - Both French teams finished undefeated on Day 2 of the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup in Athens, Greece, on September 3, 2022.

    ATHENS (Greece) - Both French teams finished undefeated on Day 2 of the FIBA 3x3 U17 Europe Cup  in Athens, Greece, on September 3, 2022.

    In the women's category, France were the only team that finished Day 2 undefeated. They ruled Pool D with two victories against Czech Republic (21-8) and Lithuania (15-6).  Margot Ounounou led "Les Bleues" with  13 points.  Czech Republic stamped their ticket to the knock-out rounds after defeating Lithuania in the last game of the pool (19-14).

    In the other pool on the women's side,  Netherlands and underdogs Sweden went through after knocking out Ukraine from the competition. 

    In the men's side, just one week after winning the 3x3 U18 World Cup, France continued to shine with victories over Latvia (21-11) and Croatia (17-15), who were eliminated. 



    Last, but not least, in men's Pool A, Lithuania survived a thriller against Estonia (10-9) and then defeated hosts Greece to. Estonia will join them in the quarter-finals tomorrow thanks to their win over the Greek hosts, 21-17.
