THE TEAMS
Jamaica's women shocked the Americas on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup 2022 as they finished on top of Pool C with two victories over Chile (18-17) and basketball powerhouse Argentina (12-8).
Led by Morgan Green, who scored no less than 11 points in Jamaica's comeback win against Chile and 8 against Argentina, this Jamaican team looks like a strong contender for the medals.

Last year's bronze medalists Dominican Republic's men also dominated their pool with two strong victories over Chile (21-13) and Saint Lucia (21-10), who made it all the way from the qualifying draw.
Carlos Rivera led the Dominicans with 14 points but don't sleep on Alejandro Reyes (11 pts), Shamil Ballas (9 pts), and Diego Moquete (8 pts) who shared the burden on offense and make this team a dark horse for the title.
