MIES (Switzerland) - An action-packed Wednesday features five games from four different Regular Season groups. Here's a closer look at some facts and figures for each of the five games.
Falco-Vulcano Szombathely (2-1) vs. Rytas Vilnius (2-1) - Group F, 18:00 CET
If Falco win on Wednesday, it will be their third straight victory at home in the BCL, their longest win streak at home since December 2020 - December 2021, when they won four in a row.
The two teams have met in Hungary once before, in March 2022, and Falco defeated Rytas 86-81.
Rytas have a 4-9 record in their 13 road games in the BCL Regular Season and gave up more than 75 points in 12 of those 13 games.
Rytas, with 59 percent, and Falco, with 57.1 percent, are among the three teams in this season's BCL to score more than 57 percent of their points from two-point range. The third one is NINERS Chemnitz, with 57.6 percent.
Falco's Zoltan Perl has scored 20 or more points in each of his last four games, the first player in BCL history to do so off the bench. He's averaged 21.3 points per game in three BCL appearances against Rytas.
Jayvon Graves of Rytas scored 15 or more points in seven of his last nine BCL games. He's is averaging 16.9 points and 5.2 rebounds over those nine games.
AEK Betsson BC (2-1) vs. VEF Riga (1-2) - Group E, 18:30 CET
AEK have won two of their three games in the BCL this season, including an 80-69 success over VEF Riga on gameday 3, after losing their last seven games in 2023-24. They have won their last six home games in the BCL Regular Season though, and won each of the 12 quarters in the most recent three games.
VEF, who will play their 50th game in the BCL, have lost their last 15 road games in the competition, the longest such streak in BCL history. However, they were leading at the end of the 3rd quarter in both of their most recent road games.
VEF are averaging 11 steals per game in the BCL this season, more than any other team. They came up with 14 or more steals in two of their three games this season, a tally they had not reached in any of their first 46 BCL games.
AEK's Prentiss Hubb has averaged 26 points and 7.5 assists over his last two home games in the BCL, shooting 11-of-11 from the free-throw line in those two games.
VEF's Issuf Sanon has scored 17 or more points in each of his three games with VEF Riga in the BCL, when his previous BCL career high, over his first 15 appearances in the league, was 14 points. He has made a total of eight 3-pointers in three games this season, after making only five in his first 15 games.
Telekom Baskets Bonn (2-1) vs. Maccabi Ramat-Gan (1-2) - Group E, 20:00 CET
Bonn have won five of their last six home games in the BCL, four of which by a double-digit margin. They scored 80 or more points in seven of their last eight home games.
Maccabi have lost two of their first three BCL games, with those defeats coming in their only previous away game (80-71 to AEK) and in the reverse fixture against Bonn (86-78). All of their first three games were decided by single-digit margins.
Bonn are the second-leading team in made 3-pointers in this season's BCL, with 11.3 per game. (Unicaja are the league leaders with 11.8 per game).
By contrast, Maccabi are not only bottom of the league in made 3-pointers, hitting just 6 per game, but also have the lowest 3-point field goal percentage, as they convert 23.4 percent of their attempts from behind the arc.
Bonn's Darius McGhee has had 20 or more points and 5 or more assists in each of his first three BCL games and, if the repeats that statline on Wednesday, he will become the first player in BCL history to achieve this feat in his first four games. He is the only player this season to have made four or more 3-pointers in three different games.
Maccabi's Amin Stevens is averaging 19 points per game and leads in scoring all players who are yet to score a 3-pointer in the BCL this season. He's had more than 5 rebounds in each of his three games.
Bertram Derthona Basket (3-0) vs. SL Benfica (0-3) - Group G, 20:30 CET
Derthona's 72-58 win against Benfica in the reverse fixture is the Italian club's biggest win in the competition. Derthona have won five of their six home games in the BCL, scoring on average 86.5 points per game.
Benfica have lost their last eight games in the BCL, by an average margin of 20.4 points; in fact, they have lost each of the last 18 quarters they have played in the competition.
Derthona's opponents make only 9.7 free-throws per game this season, a joint-lowest average, alongside La Laguna Tenerife. Their opponents made 17.3 free-throws per game in last season's BCL.
Derthona's Arturs Strautins has scored a total of 38 points over his last two home games in the BCL, just one fewer than in his first seven home games combined (39 points). He has shot 7-of 9 from 3-point range at home.
Benfica's Tyler Stone is averaging 22.2 points and 7.8 rebounds over his last six away games in the BCL and had at least 1 steal in each of his nine road games in the competition.
La Laguna Tenerife (3-0) vs. Saint-Quentin Basket-Ball (1-2) - Group C, 21:00 CET
This will be Tenerife's first home game in the BCL this season. They won each of the last 22, with their last defeat at home dating back to December 2021, when they fell 99-83 to MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg.
Saint-Quentin have lost their last two BCL games, including their only previous road game (84-74 at Karsiyaka). All three of their BCL games so far were decided by a margin of 10 or more points.
Tenerife have the best defense in this season's BCL in terms of points allowed per possession, with 0.92, but Saint-Quentin allow just 0.96 points per possession and are tied with BAXI Manresa in second place.
Tenerife's Marcelinho Huertas has averaged 20.3 points and 8.3 assists over his last six home games in the BCL and his team have won all 33 home games in which Huertas had more than 5 assists.
Dominik Olejniczak is the only Saint-Quentin player to have scored 10 or more points in each of their first three games in the BCL. He is averaging 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
