MIES (Switzerland) - The Tuesday schedule features three games from three different Regular Season groups. Here's a closer look at some facts and figures for each one.
Karsiyaka (2-1) vs. Kolossos H Hotels (0-3) - Group C, 18:30 CET
If Karsiyaka win on Tuesday they will secure a place in the Play-Ins, at the very least, whilst remaining in contention to win the group.
Karsiyaka have won their last two games in the BCL, including a 71-59 success over Kolossos in Rhodes, and if they win on Tuesday, they will tie their longest winning streak in the BCL since April-May 2021, when they won three in a row. Each of Karsiyaka’s last four games was decided by a double-digit margin.
Kolossos lost their three games in the BCL by an average margin of 22 points and are yet to score 60 points in a game in the competition. In fact, their combined 160 points is the lowest tally by any team in its first three games in the BCL. The previous low belonged to Helios Suns, who had scored a total of 165 points in their first three games of the 2016/17 season.
Karsiyaka allow opponents to convert only 15 two-point shots per game on average, which means their defense is second in the BCL so far this season in this aspect, only behind ERA Nymburk, who hold opponents to 14 made two-pointers on average. By comparison, Karsiyaka's defense allowed 21.7 made two-pointers on average in the 2023-24 Regular Season.
Kolossos have the lowest-scoring offense in each of the four quarters in the BCL so far this season, averaging fewer than 15 points in each period. On the positive side though, the Greek team also have the best first-quarter defense this season, giving up only 14.3 points in the first frame, on average.
Errick McCollum scored 20 or more points in four of his last five BCL games, including the last two, and if he repeats that statline on Tuesday he will have put together his first three-game long stretch of +20-point games. McCollum has made 10 pointers across his last four games in the BCL.
Pallacanestro Reggiana (2-1) vs. WKS Slask Wroclaw (0-3) - Group F, 20:00 CET
If Reggiana win on Tuesday they will secure a place in the Play-Ins, at the very least, whilst remaining in contention to win the group. Wroclaw need to win on Tuesday, otherwise they will have a chance to make the Play-Ins only if they win both of their last two games in the group.
Reggiana won 73-65 against WKS Slask Wroclaw in the reverse fixture and, if they win on Tuesday, they will string together their first ever two-game winning streak in the BCL. Three of their four home games were decided by a double-digit margin.
Wroclaw have lost their first three games in the BCL by an average margin of 13.3 points. The Polish team have won three of the 12 quarters they have played in the competition so far.
Reggiana and Wroclaw are joint leaders of the BCL so far this season in blocks, as they both average 5.7 blocks per game. The Italian team are also historical leaders of the BCL in one sense, as they are averaging 4.9 blocks over their nine BCL games, more than any other club that has taken part in multiple BCL seasons.
Cassius Winston has had at least 10 points and 5 assists in each of his three BCL games as a Reggiana player, and he's averaging 15.3 points per game over his last four home appearances in the BCL.
Wroclaw's Jeremy Senglin has scored 10 or more points in eight of his nine road games in the BCL and had 13 points in his only previous road game this season, against Rytas Vilnius. By comparison, he scored a total of 7 points across his two home games.
NINERS Chemnitz (1-2) vs. BAXI Manresa (2-1) - Group G, 20:00 CET
If Manresa win on Tuesday they will secure a place in the Play-Ins, at the very least, whilst remaining in contention to win the group.
Chemnitz have won their only previous home game in the BCL, 103-75 against SL Benfica, winning each quarter in that game. They suffered however a 46-point defeat (105-59) to Manresa in the reverse fixture.
Manresa have lost their last five road games in the BCL, after winning the previous five. They lost 85-75 at Telekom Baskets Bonn on their only previous trip to Germany for the BCL, in March 2023.
Manresa are leading the BCL so far this season in fastbreak points, with 17.7 per game, and points off turnovers, with 29 per game. Meanwhile Chemnitz lead the league in points in the paint, with 44.7 per game.
If DeAndre Lansdowne suits up for Chemnitz on Tuesday, he will make his 50th appearance in the BCL. He scored more than 10 points in six of his last seven BCL games, with the sole exception being the most recent home game, when he had 7 points against Benfica.
Manresa's Derrick Alston is one of three players to have scored 25 or more points in two BCL games this season (Saben Lee and Zac Seljaas are the other two).
