MADRID (Spain) - Spain have revealed the list of names that be tasked with delivering success at the Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament Paris 2024.
The roster is headlined by team leader Alba Torrens, who's priceless talent and know-how should prove to be a driving force at the event.
She is the marquee baller of a group that has a number of players who have seen and done it all before, including the likes of Laura Gil, Queralt Casas, Maria Conde and Leonor Rodriguez.
One of the most important decisions was in respect of the naturalized position and it is Megan Gustafson who gets the green light to step out.
Her powerful scoring ability in the paint will no doubt be a cornerstone of Spain's challenge. Even more so in the absence of the terrific Raquel Carrera who is ruled out with an injury.
The team will also be driven by the energetic playmaker Maite Cazorla, who has been hugely impressive in EuroLeague Women throughout 2023-24.
Spain will compete in Group A against China, Puerto Rico and Serbia.
