No one has ever won more games at the Olympics than Diana Taurasi

The USA legend hits a major landmark that no basketball player has ever reached previously.

LILLE (France) - It was a record-breaking night for Diana Taurasi as USA moved past Belgium to rack up another victory at the Women's Olympic Basketball Tournament Paris 2024.

The veteran star became the first ever Olympic basketball player to reach 40 wins as she consolidated top spot in the all-time table for wins across both men's and women's events.

"Oh wow," stated Taurasi when told about the accomplishment in the post-game mixed zone.

"But you know what? It's just been real fun with this group and those kind of marks only ever happen when you are on great teams with great coaches. Today was just fun to have that atmosphere for basketball.

"40 is cool, but let's hope there are a few more yet," she laughed.
