The women's national teams will square off on June 20 and June 21 at the Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center, with each game tipping off at 7:00 PM local time.

Japan scraped a 74-73 win over Australia in the Final of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017, and also beat the Opals in the Semi-Finals of at the next two Asia Cups in 2019 and 2021.
