    August 11

    Gold Medal Game

    • FRA v USA - 15:30 Local Time (13:30 GMT)

USA head into the Final in search of an eighth gold medal in a row and also looking to make history as the first nation to reach double-digits. If they climb to the top of the podium step, it will be the 10th time they have reached that position. The last time they didn't occupy it was way back at Barcelona 1992.

They continue to be powered by the one-two punch of Breanna Stewart and A'ja Wilson who both impressed yet again in the Semi-Finals win against Australia.

Host nation France are looking forward to competing in the title game for a second time, having also faced USA in the Final at London 2012 when they had ultimately had to settle for silver - their best ever finish at the Games.

This time they have the opportunity to not only match that result, but potentially make history with a first gold medal. To do it on home soil would be special, with Gabby Williams and Marine Johannes looking the most likely to inspire a famous victory.

    Bronze Medal Game

    • BEL v AUS - 11:30 Local Time (09:30 GMT)

Australia are looking to repeat their last medal success at the Games and take bronze - as they did at London 2012. Lauren Jackson will be looking to add to her stunning collection of honors with a fifth Olympic medal, having won silver in 2000, 2004 and 2008, as well as bronze in London.

The Opals are looking to bounce back from their Semi-Finals loss and finish the tournament on a high. A bronze medal would also replicate their third podium step from the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022.

Belgium have already taken one historical step at this event, which is only their second ever appearance at the Games. Having made the Semi-Finals for the first time, they will now compete against Australia in pursuit of a maiden Olympic medal.

The Cats have been backed by tremendous support at the event and the fans will be hoping they can complete a fairytale with yet another slice of history - no doubt led by their phenomenal leader, Emma Meesseman.
