    WBL Americas 2024 Groups Announced

    The second edition of the top women's clubs tournament from the Americas continent will be played between September and November.

    MIAMI (United States) – The FIBA Regional Office in the Americas announced the teams that will participate in the second edition of the Women's Basketball League Americas (WBL Americas), which will be played between the months of September and November. Group A (South Zone) will feature Ferro and Unión Florida, the respective champions of the Argentine Apertura Tournament and the Argentine League. Group A will also include Sportiva Italiana, the champions of Chile's league, and Uruguay's league champions, Malvín. This group will be played from September 13 to 15 at Estadio Héctor Etchart in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Group B (North Zone) will feature Bay Area Phoenix from the United States, Indeportes Antioquia from Colombia, Salvadoreñas from El Salvador, and Pioneras de Delicias from Mexico. The games for this zone will be held at the Coliseo Iván de Bedout in Medellín, Colombia, from September 27 to 29. This will be the second edition of the WBL Americas, a tournament that brings together the continent's top women's clubs which strengthen FIBA's commitment to elevate women's sports in the region.
