    DAKAR (Senegal) - The numbers are stacking up as the 2024 Women's Basketball League Africa (WBLA) group stage enters the home stretch, with all teams having played two matches each so far.

    Group C teams were in action on Game-day 4 as favourites Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Ferroviario de Maputo won against ASC Makomeno and Jeanne D'Arc.

    The two matches were not short of incredible performances. Here are the top performers of the day;

    Ines Nezerwa

    For the second game in a row, the Burundian (top image) has proven to be a crucial addition for Rwandese champions REG who finished fourth in last year's competition.

    She dominated the side's number on both ends of the court, dropping 15 points and captured 14 rebounds, while adding six steals, two assists and as many blocks.

    She recorded the day's highest efficiency rating at 31 while leading Julian Martinez's charges to their first win (83-51) against Congo DR's ASB Makomeno.

    Rosine Micomyiza

    The Rwandese international was called to action as her side missed the services of Victoria Reynolds who sat out, and she did not disappoint.

    The shooting guard top scored for the side with 17, going 5-of- 8 from range, adding four steals and three assists for 20 in efficiency.

    Her opening trey in the second quarter of the clash started an 8-0 rally as the side pulled away after a closely fought first stanza that saw the Congolese lead 13-12.

    Destiny Promise Philoxy

    The Rwanda national team point guard shot to the top of the assists charts after providing nine against ASB Makomeno, completing her route with 13 points, three steals a block and a rebound for 17 in efficiency.

    Philoxy was 5-of- 8 in the paint, adding three points from the line, missing just once for her tally in a game she did not attempt any treys.

    Ingvild Maucauro

    As Ferroviario de Maputo improved to 2-0 after beating home side Jeanne D'Arc 64-30, the 2019 African MVP starred, scoring 11 in 32 minutes.

    She came two rebounds shy of a double-double, provided four assists, a steal and a block, while only picking one personal foul for 15 in efficiency.

    Destiny Pitts

    The 2023 champion with Alexandria Sporting Club (ASC) , now suiting up for Mozambique's Ferroviario, was 4-of-11 from behind the arc for the side's highest score of the day at 12, adding two rebounds and a steal in just under 15 minutes.

    Two of her four treys were made in the last quarter that they dominated 18-04 after two close quarters of 16-15 and 10-8.
