LILLE (France) - France center Rudy Gobert jumped one spot in the all-time leaderboard for blocks in Men's Olympic Basketball Tournament history in moving to sixth place after a strong outing against Brazil.
Gobert swatted two shots in France's 78-66 win over Brazil to start Paris 2024, moving the center to 20 blocks all-time. That pushed him out of the tie with Iran legend Hamed EHaddadi and past Andrew Bogut of Australia for sixth place in Olympics history.
Gobert's next block will pull him even with Andres Nocioni of Argentina and China's Yi Jianlian with 21 for fourth place.
