MUNICH (Germany) - The race to make FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 is entering what could be a make or break period for many nations dreaming of punching a ticket to the prestigious event next year.
The second of three Qualifiers windows is about to land, with games taking place on Thursday, 7 November and Sunday, 10 November.
The full schedule of games is available here and this is how each group looks heading into these next critical games.
Group A
Key game in Window 2: Spain vs Croatia | Sunday, November 10 (19:00 CET) Player to watch: Maria Conde (ESP)
Who can qualify in November? After a pair of wins over Croatia and Austria in the first window, Spain could finish the job if they can improve their record to 4-0 in Group A. That would not only mean having to win back-to-back games versus Netherlands and Croatia at home in Castellon, but also Austria beating Netherlands, plus Croatia being victorious against Austria.
Group B
Key game in Window 2: Slovenia vs Hungary | Sunday, November 10 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Reka Lelik (HUN)
Who can qualify in November? Hungary can get it done in this window if they can take two wins and Finland lose both their games. As well as seeing if Hungary can go 4-0 and win a mouth-watering matchup with Slovenia, things also just got interesting in this group after Bulgaria naturalized standout Besiktas forward, Khaalia Hillsman.
Group C
Key game in Window 2: Poland vs Belgium | Sunday, November 10 (20:30 CET) Player to watch: Emma Meesseman (BEL)
Who can qualify in November? Nobody can book their spot from Group C, but there will be some crunch encounters that go a long way to determining who finishes in pole position. Belgium have waited 12 months to get the opportunity to try and beat Poland and make a statement - having lost to their rivals in a huge shock at home in their first game after being crowned FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 champions.
Group D
Key game in Window 2: Sweden vs Great Britain | Sunday, November 10 (14:00 CET) Player to watch: Temi Fagbenle (GBR)
Who can qualify in November? Sweden could be about to seal their trip to the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 if they can beat Estonia and Great Britain in this window. Although it was a thriller last time with the Brits and their opponents will have a red-hot Temi Fagbenle looking to dominate. Sweden not only need to win twice, they need Denmark to also lose to Estonia and Great Britain.
Group E
Key game in Window 2: Latvia vs France | Sunday, November 10 (17:10 CET) Player to watch: Gabby Williams (FRA)
Who can qualify in November? Runaway favorites in the Group, France have reached an Olympic Final since they last stepped out in the Qualifiers and this underlines their quality. They can secure their place with two wins, although could find Latvia on the road their trickiest test of all, which is why they will need the likes of Gabby Williams and Marine Johannes on top form. They also need Latvia to beat Ireland and Ireland to beat Israel to take a ticket ahead of time.
Group F
Key game in Window 2: Slovakia vs Türkiye | Sunday, November 10 (18:00 CET) Player to watch: Elif Bayram (TUR)
Who can qualify in November? Türkiye could be about to snap up their place next year if they can rack up another two victories in this window, but it will be difficult against a dangerous Slovakia team on the road. They also need Slovakia to beat Iceland and Iceland to beat Romania to be absolutely sure of their spot.
Group G
Key game in Window 2: Serbia vs Portugal | Thursday, November 07 (10:30 CET) Player to watch: Alina Iagupova (UKR)
Who can qualify in November? Serbia will be fancied to emerge from this window still unbeaten, but will have to go past Portugal who are also perfect after two games, while Ukraine are always a dangerous team - especially with Alina Iagupova back in the mix. However, it would be a surprise of Serbia's quality and depth did not result in them finishing 4-0 and moving to the cusp of qualification for next year's flagship event.
Group H
Key game in Window 2: Luxembourg vs Montenegro | Thursday, November 7 (19:00 CET) Player to watch: Milica Jovanovic (MNE)
Who can qualify in November? Whoever comes out on top in the Luxembourg vs Montenegro clash is going to be in pole position and on the cusp of taking a ticket. Whoever is successful in the first game of the window could have the chance to seal the deal on Sunday November 10 by going 4-0 and cementing their place. Luxembourg host Switzerland, while Montenegro have what could be an electrifying home derby clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Group I
Key game in Window 2: Italy vs Czechia | Thursday, November 7 (18:15 CET) Player to watch: Cecilia Zandalasini (ITA)
Who can qualify in November? All teams in Group I have already taken a ticket to next year's flagship tournament due to their status as co-hosts of the competition. The Italy vs Czechia game feels like it could have particular importance since Italy could make a real statement by going 3-0, while their rivals will not want to have their confidence hit if they drop to 0-3.
