    MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers are about to reach full swing with the second window fast approaching in the race to the Final Round.

    Here's a rundown on all you need to know:

    What are the Qualifiers?

    The Qualifiers are split into three windows: the first took place in November 2023, the upcoming window is in November 2024, before the final window is held in February 2025 - when the full 16-team lineup for the Final Round will be confirmed.

    There are 36 nations participating in the Qualifiers, and were split into nine groups of four - having been seeded based on the FIBA World Rankings. Group I was made up of all four co-hosts for the 2025 edition, as they are automatically qualified.

    How many teams can qualify?

    There are 12 spots available in the Qualifiers. The winners of the eight groups - not including Group I - will qualify for the Final Round, while the final four places will be determined from the four best-ranked runners-up.

    Who has already qualified?

    So far, only the co-hosts (Czechia, Germany, Italy and Greece) have qualified, with other teams able to start securing their spots from the second window onwards.

    When do the games take place?

    In November 2024, the games are played on Thursday November 7, and Sunday November 10. Each team will play two games during this window.

    When is FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025?

    The Final Round is scheduled to take place on June 18-29, 2025.

    Group A will be held in Piraeus, Greece; Group B in Bologna, Italy; Group C in Brno, Czechia; and Group D in Hamburg, Germany, while the Final Phase will also be played in Piraeus.

    Who are the reigning champions?

    Belgium captured their maiden FIBA Women's EuroBasket title in 2023, when they defeated four-time winners Spain in a thrilling Final in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Emma Meesseman was awarded the TISSOT MVP.
