    Reisingerova leads All Star Five after winning MVP honors

    The center was Czechia’s top performer in the tournament played in Mexico.

    MEXICO CITY (Mexico) – Center Julia Reisingerova was named MVP of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Pre-Qualifying Tournament in Mexico after leading Czechia to the title and securing a spot in the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifiers, to be played in March of 2026. In the Final against Korea, Reisingerova contributed 9 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds to put the finishing touches on an excellent performance throughout the event. The 26-year-old was one of her country’s most consistent players in Mexico after averaging 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists for an efficiency of 12.8.     Jisu Park (KOR) The 6’6 Korean center did everything she could to lead her country to victory but fell just short. In the Final against Czechia, she had 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Park averaged 16.8 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and a tournament-leading 2.0 blocks throughout the week. Milica Jovanovic (MNE) The 35-year-old veteran guided Montenegro to the Semi-Finals. She averaged 17.5 point per game throughout the tournament, the third-best mark in the event. She also averaged 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks for an efficiency of 18. Gabriela Jaquez (MEX) The 20-year-old, who plays NCAA basketball at UCLA, showed her full arsenal in her debut with the Mexican National Team and had a memorable week. The host country reached the Semi-Finals and she led the tournament in scoring (21.8 points per game) while averaging 7.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Tereza Vyoralova (CZE) The 30-year-old was a key part of the championship squad with averages of 11.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists. Her performance in the Semi-Finals against Mexico was key for Czechia. There, she exploded for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. FIBA
