    Draw results in for the 2025 FIBA Women's AfroBasket

    Abidjan will organise the 12-nation Women's AfroBasket for the first time.

    ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - The groups for the 2023 FIBA Women's AfroBasket were confirmed at a draw ceremony in Abidjan on Wednesday.

    The teams were divided into four groups of three teams each, with tournament host Côte d'Ivoire drawn into Group A.

    The biennial Women's AfroBasket will take place at the Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan from July 26 to August 3.

    The results of the draw are as follows:

    GROUP A: Côte d'Ivoire, Angola and Egypt.

    GROUP B: Mali, Cameroon and South Sudan.

    GROUP C: Senegal, Uganda and Guinea.

    GROUP D: Nigeria, Mozambique and Rwanda.

    The winners of each group automatically qualify for the quarter-finals while the second and third placed teams in each group will play a qualifying series for the quarter-finals with the winners advancing to the last eight.

    The draw ceremony took place at the Hotel des Armées in Abidjan in the presence of several FIBA Africa officials, including President Manave and Regional Director Alphonse Bile.
