KINSHASA (DR Congo) - The hunt for tickets to the 2025 Women's AfroBasket gets underway in Kinshasa with hosts DR Congo taking on Cameroon.
This is a two-game series that will run until Wednesday, August 21.
These two teams will battle it out for the region only ticket for next year's Women's AfroBasket to be held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
Of the eight countries making up FIBA Africa Zone 4, only Cameroon and DR Congo have registered to take part in the qualifier.
Back in May 2019, the two sides faced off during the Women's AfroBasket Qualifiers. Cameroon recorded a new series of two wins in two days, winning the first game by a large margin (91-46), before seeing DR Congo raise their level of play, only to collapse at the end and see the Cameroon Lionesses win 70-66.
