Rosters confirmed for FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2024

    The action is ready to get underway in Klaipeda & Vilnius, Lithuania, from July 6-14.

    KLAIPEDA & VILNIUS (Lithuania) - The rosters have been finalized ahead of the start of the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2024 on Saturday.

    There are 16 participating teams as the action kickstarts the summer of youth tournaments.

    Group A: Latvia, France, Slovenia, Lithuania Group B: Portugal, Spain, Montenegro, Sweden Group C: Poland, Italy, Türkiye, Finland Group D: Hungary, Serbia, Germany, Israel

    France landed their fourth U20 title last summer with victory over first-time finalists Latvia, while Spain took the final step on the podium to make it 12 medals in the previous 13 events.

    The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four for the initial Group Phase that will be played between July 6-9, with a rest day scheduled after the opening two days.

    The competition moves onto the knockout stages with the Round of 16 on July 10, followed by another rest day, ahead of the tournament reaching its conclusion on July 14 when the champions will be crowned.

    Meanwhile, the Division B tournament also gets underway on Saturday as 15 teams compete for the right to earn promotion in Sofia, Bulgaria, from July 6-14.
