Final
France will be able to call themselves U20 European champions for another summer as they fought back from a slow start and defeated Spain 83-75.
Spain raced ahead by 14 points in the first quarter but trailed in the second period and halftime. The second half belonged to France's Manoe Cisse, who hit one big shot after the next for France, who pushed the lead to 76-63 with under three minutes to play. Spain put a scare into the French by trimming the deficit to six points with under a minute left. But it was not enough.
Cisse, whose biggest output coming into the game was 12 points, finished with 21 points and Marine Dursus added 17 points in the victory. Spain could not take advantage of another masterful performance by Awa Fam with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
