Valentyna Kadlecova - Czechia
SMALL FORWARD
Birth Date: May 22, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.80m (5ft 11in)
An outstanding prospect for Czechia, Kadlecova has featured on the roster for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. At youth level she's been awesome, racking up double digit points scoring returns in her last five tournaments. Even more impressive is that she is in a very exclusive club of players to have competed at two editions of the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup. The winger can shoot, score and is efficient. She also excelled in EuroCup Women last season with BC Levhartice Chomutov.
Georgia Grigoropoulou - Greece
FORWARD
Birth Date: January 6, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.90m (6ft 3in)
Outstanding in last year's tournament in Craiova, she led the entire tournament in efficiency with an average performance valuation of 21.5. That was harvested from a tournament double-double of 11 points and 14 boards per game. Had Greece done better, an All-Star Five spot may have materialized and that's something for the forward to aim for this time. She also had the opportunity to experience EuroCup Women last year at Panathinaikos AC.
Nika Rodek - Croatia
GUARD
Birth Date: December 14, 2004 (19 years old) Height: 1.81m (5ft 11in)
A guard that is really shifting up through the gears, Rodek is slated to be the backcourt general for her country in Sofia. Scoring, creating and being impactful at both ends of the court, she will look to turn up the dial on last year's all-action haul of more than 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists per game at the event. Even though she was a first year U20 in 2023, she played the second most minutes per game and that underlines her maturity.
Anna Alborova - Austria
GUARD-FORWARD
Birth Date: May 23, 2005 (19 years old) Height: 1.84m (6ft 0in)
Drafted into the senior Austria side for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 Qualifiers when only just turned 17-years-old, the reputation of Alborova continues to grow. She will bring a big scoring touch to the table as she netted almost 16 and 14 points per game respectively in the past two summers at U18 events. At club level, she has gained a hard-nosed edge playing in Spain with Logrono.
Yvheniia Putra - Ukraine
CENTER
Birth Date: June 23, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.94m (6ft 4in)
It's been a great 12-18 months for Putra on the court, with the center taking big strides forward in her development. She played for her country in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers and dropped 13 points on her debut against Portugal. That was not a surprise, since she recorded 14.5 points and 9.2 boards per game at last year's U20 event. Her growth is also being helped by having played EuroCup Women at Caledonia Gladiators.
Dorja Iva Zaja - Croatia
FORWARD
Birth Date: January 12, 2004 (20 years old) Height: 1.91m (6ft 3in)
Having missed last year, the hugely talented forward should be back for her last FIBA youth summer to make a bigger splash than ever before and be the catalyst for Croatia's promotion challenge. A former MVP at U18 level, her previous three competitions have all seen tournament double-doubles posted and that is the damage she can do with her size and skills. They were honed last year working in Hungary with Sopron Basket.
Sina Elke Hollerl - Austria
GUARD
Birth Date: October 24, 2006 (17 years old) Height: 1.83m (6ft 0in)
A smooth and assured player, Hollerl is still only 17-years-old and another super rising star for Austria. She has shown great composure and quality on previous outings, leading the way with considerable scoring contributions and also showing her creative streak too. She won't be fazed against older players at this level, underlined by the fact she has already featured for the senior team and put points on the scoreboard.
Sara Boama - Iceland
GUARD
Birth Date: August 18, 2005 (18 years old) Height: 1.68m (5ft 6in)
This will be a great opportunity for Boama to showcase why she has recently been elevated to the senior team for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. Not a baller that is always going to put up eye-popping numbers, she arrives off two solid efforts the past two years at U18. A double-double first U20 tournament is not out of the question and she will likely lead her team's challenge. Much will depend on her firing successfully from the arc.
Ana Ivan - Romania
GUARD
Birth Date: November 15, 2004 (19 years old) Height: 1.73m (5ft 8in)
A guard that loves to stuff the highlights reel with her willingness to entertain, Ivan is always a good watch for neutrals and will of course be a force for her team. Romania will look for her energy, transition game and positivity to fuel them in this competition. She will be hoping she can get into the senior radar having already impressed at the 2023 edition with 12.5 points per outing - a number she is capable of growing this time around.
Iris Vennema - Netherlands
GUARD
Birth Date: September 1, 2004 (19 years old) Height: 1.86m (6ft 1in)
If the Netherlands want to take a ticket back to Division A then it is likely that they will need Vennema to step up and lead that mission. The guard is someone that can provide scoring options and has the added experience of having played for her country in the last two FIBA Women's EuroBasket Qualifying campaigns. She also knows this U20 tournament well, with this being her third appearance at the event.
