    France, Lithuania and Spain all started the tournament with blowout wins while Belgium showed they cannot be taken lightly.

    GDYNIA (Poland) - The opening day of the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2024 saw reigning champions France, Lithuania and Spain all roll to easy victories while Belgium and Greece grabbed important wins in tight battles.

    Paulius Murauskas was just about perfect for Lithuania in their 93-63 win over Iceland as he made all 8 of his field goal attempts - including 3-of-3 from long range - for 19 points, though he missed his one free throw shot. He collected 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block while committing 2 fouls and zero turnovers for an efficiency of 33 in less than 20 minutes.

    Isaac Nogues Gonzalez of Spain had a great all-around game in an easy 93-38 win over North Macedonia as he contributed 5 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals for an efficiency of 23.

    Zacharie Perrin led a balanced France attack with a team-high 22 points in a 110-56 blowout of Poland. He made 10 of his 12 shots but missed all three free throws while also picking up 3 rebounds, 2 assist and 1 steal for an efficiency of 23.

    Alexandre Bouzidi also had a big game in France's win over Poland as he scored 6 points and had 4 rebounds but he dished out 13 assists and added 2 steals for an efficiency of 22.

    Motiejus Krivas of Lithuania also registered an efficiency of 22 in his team's win over Iceland as the big man collected 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks.
