Silva pulls Portugal to 3-0; France and Spain also perfect heading into Round of 16

    MATOSINHOS (Portugal) - On the final day of Group Phase action at the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, there was no sign of letting up from France and Spain, while Portugal had to fight to preserve their own unbeaten record.

    • Hosts Portugal come back as Silva leads late charge to beat Serbia;

    Top Performers

    After limited minutes in previous Group Phase games, Nicole Torresani had her breakout game of the tournament helping Italy top Group C with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks on a gameday high 31 efficiency rating against Germany. Nell Angloma dropped 26 points yesterday and didn't take her foot off the pedal today with another 24 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists on an efficiency rating of 28.

    Meanwhile, Clara Silva came up big once more to help Portugal rally in the fourth quarter with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists on the night - with important buckets down the stretch.

    Spain are one of the three unbeaten teams and today Maria Anais Rodriguez helped them to their convincing victory with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

    Petra Bozan of Croatia has been another standout in the tournament so far and today was no different with a near double-double of 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks with an efficiency rating of 20.
