PLOIESTI (Romania) - The FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket 2024, Division B will be a major highlight for fans attending in Ploiesti and those watching online, with a number of exciting players ready to excel.

As well as enjoying a watchlist of the leading lights, you can also vote below for which player you think will make the biggest impact in this year's competition.

Make sure to also check out the stars to watch in the Division A tournament, which will be taking place in Matosinhos, Portugal.

    Tamara Mandelikova - Slovakia

    SMALL FORWARD

    Birth Date: August 31, 2007 (16 years old) Height: 1.81m (5ft 11in)

Mandelikova will bring the noise offensively for Slovakia after leading the tournament in scoring at the FIBA U16 Women's EuroBasket Division B last year. She netted almost 16 points per game and showed that she is not a one-way street. The winger also worked hard for her team and pulled down 5 boards per game.

    Angeliki Ziaka - Greece

    FORWARD

    Birth Date: March 8, 2006 (18 years old) Height: 1.82m (6ft 0in)

The forward was on top form at last year's edition, leading Greece in efficiency, as well as being the second highest scorer and rebounder. Underlining her all-around game and vision, she also led the team in assists with almost four per outing. Expect those numbers to increase even further this time around after playing well for Panathinaikos this past season.

    Kolbrun Armannsdottir - Iceland

    GUARD

    Birth Date: December 28, 2007 (16 years old) Height: 1.79m (5ft 10in)

Armannsdottir locked down a deserved All-Star Five spot at U16 Division B last summer after lighting it up for the Islanders. With 14 points, 8 rebounds sand almost 3 assists per outing, she was the rock on which they built their impressive campaign as they took a 5th place finish. This past club season she has put up some monster numbers with Stjarnan.

    Freya Jensen - Denmark

    GUARD

    Birth Date: April 12, 2006 (18 years old) Height: 1.78m (5ft 10in)

A superb prospect, it's no wonder that Iowa State have snapped up the Danish guard as she prepares to go Stateside to continue her basketball career. She was in the top five for scoring at last year's edition, dropping almost 17 points per game. Strong, smart and happy to put the team on her back or facilitate, she is a quality player worth checking out.

    Denitsa Manolova - Bulgaria

    GUARD

    Birth Date: September 6, 2006 (17 years old) Height: 1.76m (5ft 9in)

Already elevated to the senior national team with minutes in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers, Manolova has been rewarded for some eye-popping numbers so far at youth level. She posted a double-double last summer at U18, while at U16 she did the same but with a mammoth 24 points per game. A walking bucket and a best defensively and also on the glass considering she is not in the frontcourt, she's Bulgaria's best prospect in years.

    Jelena Bulajic - Montenegro

    GUARD

    Birth Date: February 27, 2007 (17 years old) Height: 1.79m (5ft 10in)

Another player who's taken steps at senior level previously, Bulajic has also demonstrated her qualities already in 2024. She amassed 13 points per game at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket Division B and if she can find her range from behind the three-point line, she will have a big impact. She has also starred with club team Buducnost this past season.

    Katarina Sediva - Slovakia

    FORWARD

    Birth Date: November 13, 2007 (17 years old) Height: 1.84m (6ft 0in)

Her Basketball Without Borders invitation underlines the fact that Sediva is a rising star baller that Slovakian fans can be excited about. The same can be said of her performances at the U16 Women's EuroBasket 2023, Division B when she harvested a tournament double-double of 13 points and 10 boards per game. But the forward is not about muscle or power, her footwork and eye for a pass from the high post impress, also explaining 3 assists per game.
