    MATOSINHOS (Portugal) - In the second day of the FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Italy survived a late Serbia rally, hosts Portugal continued their winning start and France provided another dominant display.

    After posting a double-double on day one, Clara Silva displayed her scoring threat against Germany, helping the hosts continue a perfect start with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks on a day two high-efficiency rating of 33.

    Italy bounced back from a day one loss and it was Emma Giacchetti who starred against Serbia in a close-fought contest, as she collected 24 points, including five three-pointers, 6 assists and 4 steals on an efficiency rating of 32.

    FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket MVP only a few weeks ago, Awa Fam is now set on dominating her own age group's tournament having posted a big double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds with 3 blocks on an efficiency rating of 30 for Spain.

    Poland lost by just five to Croatia and the grit of Natalia Rutkowska was one factor that helped them stay competitive, as she also recorded a double-double of 15 points with 11 rebounds with 3 blocks on a 26 efficiency rating.

    Not as close was another convincing France victory over Israel and this time it was Nell Angloma's chance to shine, in an efficient manner with a rating of 25 - finishing with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
