    Double celebration for Azerbaijan as Berkoz is crowned MVP

    ELBASAN (Albania) - Azerbaijan have every reason to celebrate after their win over Luxembourg in the FIBA U18 EuroBasket 2024, Division C Final, and one extra success came in the form of the Most Valuable Player award for Derin Berkoz.

    Berkoz was the sole member of the winning side in the tournament's All-Star Five, as he was joined by silver medalists duo of Phillipe Stoffel and Konan Oth from Luxembourg, Viktorio Hida from Albania and Armenia's Sebastian Hatsakorzian.

    Derin Berkoz - Azerbaijan

    The shooting guard posted 14 points, 5 points, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in the Final, but it's his consistency throughout the event that had earned him this accolade. Berkoz put up 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists on average across the tournament.

    Viktorio Hida - Albania

    Viktorio Hida - Albania

    Hida led all the players in efficiency with a rating of 26.0 per game, as he averaged 14.2 points and topped the charts in rebounds with 15.2 per game. Needless to say, he was the leading force as the hosts tok the bronze.

    Sebastian Hatsakorzian - Armenia

    Sebastian Hatsakorzian - Armenia

    Hatsakorzian averaged a double-double of 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in Armenia's quest to the Semi-Finals. His best performances came in the Group Phase when he posted 19 points and 12 rebounds twice, against Moldova and Azerbaijan.

    Konan Oth - Luxembourg

    Konan Oth - Luxembourg

    Luxembourg's Oth dominated the paint with 13.0 points and 12.8 rebounds per game as he posted a monstrous double-double of 26 and 19 in the last four encounter. He came in third on the rebounding charts.

    Philippe Stoffel - Luxembourg

    Philippe Stoffel - Luxembourg

    Oth's teammate Stoffel came in second in the assists ranks with 5.2 on average, paired up with 14 points and 4 rebounds per game in Luxembourg's journey to the silver medal.
