    HERAKLION (Greece) - Türkiye and Italy both pulled off surprises in Tuesday's return to action as the Quarter-Finals are now set at the FIBA U16 EuroBasket 2024.

    Andrej Bjelic was unstoppable from beyond the arc in Serbia's 95-78 win over Israel. He sank eight threes on his way to 30 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and the highest efficiency of the day with 30. His teammate Jovan Bikic offered a helping had with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists of an all-around showing.

    Italy was maybe not the favorite to go through over higher-ranked Slovenia, but Federico Cattapan had other ideas with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the Azzurri's impressive 87-69 win.

    Slovenia may have been a victim of the unexpected aforementioned result, but Igor Stjepanovic couldn't be faulted for his efforts; he gave his all with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the heartbreaking loss.

    France overcame their slow start and turned a nine-point deficit into the 90-59 success over Croatia, and Aaron Towo-Nansi put on a defensive clinic. Almost the seldomly seen triple-double with steals for the French guard as he picked the opponents' pockets seven times, paired with 14 points and 10 assists.
