MIAMI (USA) – The Centrobasket U15 Championship will be played from December 4 to 8 at the UACJ Gimnasio Universitario in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The groups have now been set following the official draw held at the FIBA Americas Regional Office in Miami. Prior to the draw process, the teams were placed in pots based on their current position in the FIBA Youth World Ranking, presented by Nike. In other containers, numbers were placed to determine the match order for each team. Here are the results of the draw:
Group A
1. Virgin Islands 2. Puerto Rico 3. Costa Rica 4. Panama
Group B
1. Dominican Republic 2. Mexico 3. El Salvador In the Group Phase, each team will play once against each rival in their group. The top two teams will advance to the Semi-Finals, while the third and fourth-placed teams will continue playing for positions 5 through 7. In the Semi-Finals, the first-place team from Group A will face the second-place team from Group B and vice versa (1A vs 2B and 1B vs 2A). The winners will play in the Final, and the losers will compete for third place. In the classification round, the third-place team from Group B will face the fourth-place team from Group A, and the winner will then face the third-place team from Group A.
