    SOSNOWIEC (Poland) - The Philippines' fighting spirit was there for all to see even as Gilas Pilipinas absorbed an 82-80 loss to Poland in their last preparation game ahead of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia.

However, Poland mounted a comeback in the second quarter, outscoring the Filipinos 25-15 to take a 41-38 lead at halftime. The game remained tight throughout, with Poland's Michal Sokolowski leading the charge with 21 points, including crucial three-pointers that halted Gilas' momentum.
