Unicaja took home another piece of silverware, and their big guy was named the Most Valuable Player of FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024.

SINGAPORE (Singapore) - Dylan Osetkowski had 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists against Petro De Luanda on Day 1, then followed it up with another all-round performance of 6 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in a blowout against Al Riyadi Beirut on Day 2.

Those two wins sent Unicaja straight to the Final, and Dylan Osetkowski had another big game in him, providing 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assists in just 21 minutes on the floor, dominating both ends against the NBA G League United.

Following these three impressive performances, it's little wonder the accredited media voted the 28-year-old center/power forward as the Most Valuable Player of FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2024.

Picking out the best player on a team that plays with all 12 players in every single game was no easy task, and Osetkowski agrees.

"We play as a team, we have a good group of guys that have been together now for three years, and that's our identity. Just play together, play as a team. That's what I liked best," he said.

"In all three games, there's multiple guys in double figures, multiple guys shooting threes, driving to the basket, we play a very team-oriented game of basketball offensively, everybody is touching the ball, everybody has an opportunity to score. That is what our identity is. A team full of 14 guys who can all do the same thing and everybody can play a role, have an opportunity to be the top scorer. For this tournament it was myself, any other tournament it could be anybody else."

He joins Tyson Carter and Kendrick Perry as the third MVP on this Unicaja roster. Carter won that award at the Spanish Cup Final Eight in 2023, Perry picked up the BCL Final Four MVP award in 2024.

"Third trophy in three years, that's an amazing accomplishment for the club," Dylan once again emphasized the team-first approach.

It could be four major trophies soon, as Unicaja travel back to Spain to play the Spanish Supercopa Final Four in Murcia next week.

Dylan spent a total of 58 minutes on the floor in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and Unicaja were a +58 team during that time.

He succeeds Sesi Franca's David Jackson as the second MVP since the event introduced a six team format in Singapore last summer.
