MUNICH (Germany) - PAOK mateco guard Shavar Reynolds' consistent performances and explosive scoring have earned him the FIBA Europe Cup MVP honors for March.
The 26-year-old New Jersey native averaged 18.7 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals over the course of the month; shooting 53.2 percent from the field and an even more impressive 61.6 percent from three-point land for an efficiency rating of 21.0.
Despite PAOK owning one of the rarest of basketball records over the last month in three games, Reynolds' stats have been fantastic.
He posted 20 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals as his side drew their Quarter-Finals first-leg tie with Fribourg Olympic 62-62. He then scored 16 points with three triples to eliminate their Swiss counterparts in an 82-76 victory in the second game to reach the Semi-Finals.
To end March, Reynolds had a team-high 20 points - shooting 7-of-11 from the field - but could not help PAOK secure an advantage in the Semi-Finals as they fell to an 89-88 loss at home to Cholet Basket in the first leg.
It was also an impressive month for Axel Julien as the point guard helped propel JDA Bourgogne Dijon to the brink of the Finals.
