    FIBA Women's Centrobasket Championship 2024 will be played in Mexico

    The FIBA Americas Regional Office has confirmed the city of Irapuato as the tournament's host.

    MIAMI (United States) – The FIBA Women's Centrobasket Championship 2024 will be played in the city of Irapuato, Mexico, from November 5 to 10, the FIBA Americas Regional Office reported. The Inforum Irapuato will be the venue that hosts the competition, which will feature the participation of eight national teams from the Central American and Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CONCENCABA), which will be announced later. The eight teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each. The top two from each group will advance to the Semifinals and the rest will play for 5th to 8th place. The Semifinal winners will compete for the Final and the gold medal, while the losers will face off for the bronze medal. The top four teams in the FIBA Women's Centrobasket Championship 2024 will qualify for the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025.
